What is an International Section?
Local meetings of ASCE International Sections provide the opportunity to meet other civil engineers, ASCE members who share many of the same concerns you have. You can attend technical sessions and brainstorm to solve common problems such as local legislative issues and management challenges. Networking at meetings expands your circle of professional contacts and gives you access to valuable information about local employment conditions. In addition, participation in Section activities gives you an opportunity to develop your leadership skills.
After operating successfully for one year a country may upgrade from an International Group to an International Section. |
The Region 10 Board of Governors oversees the operations of 12 international sections and 19 international groups while providing its chair as a member on the ASCE Board of Direction.
