Hojjat Adeli, Ph.D. is recognized for wide-ranging, exceptional, and pioneering contributions to computing in many civil engineering disciplines and extraordinary leadership in advancing the use of computing and information technologies in civil engineering throughout the world. He is an internationally renowned scholar and one of the most prolific and highly referenced civil engineering educators of the world in the area of computer-aided engineering. He is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious journals Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering and Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering.

Richard O. Anderson, P.E. is recognized for his contributions and deep commitment to the geotechnical engineering field and to civil engineering education and accreditation, attested by his major roles to transition civil engineering to the ABET EC2000 accreditation criteria and to gather support for the ASCE Body of Knowledge Concept. In addition, Mr. Anderson has been in responsible charge for over 6,500 geotechnical site investigations.

In recognition of his achievements, in 1981 Dr. Hernandez was named Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency by President Ronald Reagan.

COL Stephen J. Ressler, Ph.D, P.E is recognized for the advancement of engineering education and outreach through innovative use of information technology tools, and through the promotion of teaching improvement among civil engineering faculty. As a faculty member at the U.S. Military Academy, Colonel Ressler conceived and developed computer software which evolved into, and formed the basis for, the West Point Bridge Design Contest.
