Owner/Engineer Estimates and Contractor Bid Discrepancies and what to do about it: Hank Adams, Kiewit; Connie Crawford, NY MTA; Tony Cracchiolo, STV.

Over the past several years, owners, engineers, and construction professionals have experienced escalation in construction pricing unlike that observed in over 30 years.  This has been accomanied by an equally sudden increase in discrepancies between owner/engineer estimates and construction bids.  The Construction Institute has assembled a panel of distinguished leaders to discuss this phenonmena and how best it can be addressed.  The focus of the panel discussion will be to discuss opportunities on how owners, engineers, and contsructors can work together to improve the accuracy of opinions of cost.

Closing Remarks:

Marvin Oey, Director of the Construction Institute
