Benefits of implementing a Project Management Procedure to manage the Request for Information (RFI) process on a project.

The management of RFIs during the construction process is one of the risks to be managed during project execution, specifically from an owner, engineer and contractor perspective.  Managing this risk can help avoid claims and disputes for changes, inefficiency and cumulative impacts.  Panelists will discuss sources of risk caused by RFIs and the delays and disruption and types of claims that typically result from alleged late, non-responsive, and/or numerous RFI submissions.
