The Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC) develops and updates fair and objective standard documents that represent the latest and best thinking in contractual relations between all parties involved in engineering design and construction projects.  EJCDC will be presenting a technical session focused on the most widely used of the EJCDC documents, the C-700 Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract, at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel, February 27, 2009.  This document establishes the basic terms between the owner and the contractor and details the contractor’s basic duties and responsibilities, including bond and insurance, progress and final payments; owner’s responsibilities; changes in the work and other key project concerns.  If you have questions about the C-700 or other EJCDC documents, or if you are wondering if these documents meet your contract needs, join us in Tampa to talk with the experts.

On Friday Feb 27, 2009, the EJCDC will be holding a forum and reception for users of the EJCDC documents designed for attorneys, presidents, vice presidents, owners, project managers, architects, engineers, controllers, accountants and contractors. For questions or more information, please contact Erin Santiago (703) 295-6076 or esantiago@asce.org.

For more than 30 years, the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC)-a broad coalition of stakeholders in the project delivery process-has been developing and endorsing quality contract documents and encouraging their use through education and promotion.

EJCDC documents are prepared with the advice of legal counsel and reflect the experience and knowledge of the many engineers, owners, contractors, and other construction-related professionals who comprise the committee.

Mission Statement:"EJCDC is a coalition of stakeholders in the project delivery process who develop and endorse quality contract documents and encourage their use through education and promotion."
