Welcome to the Texas Student Days Site!
Please join us at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott in
Houston on October 30-31, 2009.
It's no secret the profession is experiencing not only a shortage in civil engineering majors at both colleges and universities, but also in graduates. Rather than stand by, the Construction Institute (CI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers developed Student Days in the fall of 2008, and attracted more than 150 undergraduate and graduate students to San Francisco.
Following on its success, the Geo-Institute and the Coasts, Oceans,
Ports and Rivers Institute will be joining CI to present Texas Student
Days.
Student Days takes engineering outside of the classroom, and makes
it come alive in real-world projects and real-life problem solving.
The program consists of four main components, each giving companies and students optimum time and exposure to one another:
1. Real-World Engineering Sessions
2. Speed Networking
3. Job Fair
4. Site Tour
