Chicago, Illinois

Unfolding from the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago offers Midwestern hospitality, cosmopolitan sophistication and diversity. Chicago is known for its world-class attractions, dining and shopping.  Chicago looks great from any angle whether you're exploring the city during a guided tour or you're enjoying the birds-eye view from the 103rd floor of Skydeck Chicago in the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) and the 94th floor Hancock Observatory.

Chicago is home to many museums such as the Field Museum with its biological and anthropological specimens, including Sue, the largest and most complete T.rex ever found, the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum with its two full-size planetarium theaters, the Shedd Aquarium with 22,000 aquatic species, and the Museum of Science and Industry where you can see its interactive exhibits including the U-505 submarine, a working coal mine and a Boeing 727 aircraft.

Chicago is such a food lovers' paradise that diners face just one dilemma: How to choose from so many choices. You'll be able to narrow your choices by type of food including Italian, Latin, Greek, Indian, Mediterranean, Polish, German and Ethiopian either downtown or in one of Chicago's 77 neighborhoods. After dinner head for one of Chicago's lounges, piano bars and other venues with the beat of jazz, mainstream and indie rock, folk and country, world music, and, of course the blues. If live music isn't your interest head for The Second City, Chicago's improve or one of the other comedy clubs. If they're playing at home you'll have an opportunity to see the Chicago Bulls play NBA basketball or the Chicago Black Hawks play NHL ice hockey.

In your spare time head for the Magnificent Mile along Michigan Avenue where you'll find 460 stores in its eight block stretch with world-class department stores, every kind of boutique from upscale to "sassy", specialty shops and discount shops.
