Technical Poster Presentation Contest for Students

Undergraduate and graduate students from renowned national universities are invited to participate in a technical poster presentation contest.  The poster presentation contest is planned to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between students and the pipeline industry.  This student poster contest will help develop an awareness and interest in pipeline research and development amongst students serving the needs of pipeline industry, while providing much needed networking opportunities for the soon to be graduating students.

The student posters selected for the conference will be displayed for the duration of the conference.  All poster presenters are expected to register for the conference and be prepared to cover their own registration and travel costs. They must be present on the first day of the conference for participation and for recognition. 

Some financial assistance may be available for the students selected to participate in the contest.  If you require financial assistance, please submit your request in writing to Jessica Prince, P.E. at jessica.prince@ch2m.com.

Abstracts for technical poster presentation should provide a clear description of the topics addressed in the poster.  The abstract is limited to 500 words and a maximum of 2 pages.  Figures and diagrams are not considered in the word count and are encouraged.  The draft is due on March 20 , 2009 and the final paper is due June 15, 2009.  Student authors selected for poster presentations will not deliver an oral presentation. The contest will provide cash award to the best student poster.
