Poster Session Guidelines

  • Poster Size
  1. The poster papers will be affixed to a 4 ft x 8 ft foam core poster board (provided by ASCE on site), also used frequently as a message board.

  2. Poster papers must be tacked to the poster board.  Push pins will be provided.

  • Poster Materials
  1. Poster session materials can be one or more of the following:
    • Thin cardboard or regular paper of the text of the actual paper printed in large font.
    • Photos and graphics.
    • Thin cardboard or regular paper copies of a Power Point Presentation. 

  2. All the materials shall fit onto a 4 ft x 8 ft foam core poster board. Overlapping papers or posters will not be accepted.

  3. Three dimensional items that cannot be attached by means of push pins will not be allowed.  Due to space restrictions, tables will not be provided. The poster boards are attached to their own stands.


  • Poster Session Hours
  1. You can set up posters between 7 AM – 9 AM on Monday, July 9, 2007. The posters must be available for view of attendees during the Exhibit Hall Hours on Monday. 

  2. You must stand with your poster to answer questions during the reception, on Monday July 9th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

  3. The posters can be removed after 7:30 PM on Monday, or left for attendees to view during the Exhibit hours on Tuesday. Posters must be removed at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, July 10th. ASCE does NOT accept any responsibility for removing the posters and mailing them to authors.

  4. As a reminder the Exhibit Hall hours are:

                                          Monday, July 9 -  9:30 AM to 7:30 PM

                                          Tuesday, July 10 - 9:30 AM t0 7:30 PM

 
  • Other
  1. It is recommended that you stand with your poster as much as possible and especially during the breaks to answer any questions and/or present your topic at any time during the day.  Please note that ASCE nor the Westin Hotel will not be responsible for any items lost or stolen during unsupervised times.
