Rules & Regulations
Dear Concrete Canoe Participants:
The Committee on National Concrete Canoe Competitions (CNCCC) is pleased to present the Rules and Regulations for the 2009 ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition™. It is the responsibility of each team to read and interpret the rules and regulations as written using sound engineering judgment. The CNCCC will provide clarifications as appropriate.
The CNCCC would like to thank all schools who have participated in past concrete canoe competitions – both at the conference and national levels – and also those who continue to participate. For more than two decades, the National Concrete Canoe Competition™ has afforded students the opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to the actual design and construction of a project. In the process, many have developed the written and oral communication skills, and gained invaluable project management and leadership experience that is essential in today's workplace. Above all, the competition has fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among all of the participants. This year, we expect no less.
The CNCCC appreciates your involvement in the concrete canoe competition and wishes you the best of luck in this year's competition.
