Post Conference Tours

Three optional tours have been arranged. The first tour is on Friday January 8, 2010 to Mahabalipuram and has only five seats remaining. The second tour is on Saturday January 9, 2010 to Kancheepuram and has only six seats remaining.  The third tour is to Sri Lanka from January 8 (Friday evening) to January 10 (Sunday night). The due date for this tour is extended to December 31, 2009.  Please book this tour as indicated on the conference web site.

Tours of Chennai and other locations in India must be arranged and paid for by the participants independent of the conference registration fee. Tour companies have registration miminums and reserve the right to cancel a tour based on insufficient number of tour registrants. Please check the website regularly for updates!

Mahabalipuram - Cultural Tour

Tour of the Ancient Irrigation Systems and Capital Cities of

Sri Lanka

Fees: 

Early-bird Rate (before 12/5/09):
$200 USD per person (see Notes 1-4 below)

After 12/5/09:

 $250 USD per person (see Notes 1-4 below)
  1. The above rates include hotel room charges (double-occupancy rate), as well as all transportation and meal charges for the entire duration of the tour. It does not include airfare.
  2. The round-trip airline cost from Chennai to Colombo is approx. $100 USD (one hundred US dollars). These prices are subject to change. So early travel bookings are highly recommended.
  3. All cancellations are subject to a $25 USD cancellation fee between 12/5/09 and 12/31/09. No refunds will be issued after 12/31/09.
  4. The above rates have been calculated assuming a double-room occupancy rate. Other occupancy requests are subject to the following supplements or reductions:
    - Single room supplement: $75 USD per person
    - Triple room reductions: $10 USD per person
    (For example, the early bird rate for guests planning to request single and triple occupancy rooms is $275 and $190 USD per person, respectively.)
