Advance Registration Discount

The Advanced Registration Discount is no longer available to registrants of the Congress. Individuals who registered at this discount rate should be prepared to complete an On-site Registration Form at the 33RD IAHR Congress Registration Desk at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. Registrations will not be processed without payment or copy of purchase order.


Badges

To receive a badge, you must register. Your name badge is your admission to the technical sessions, Exhibit Hall, social activities, and tours. Pre-registered participants are to pick up their badges upon checking in at the Onsite Registration Counter at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.

Badge Sharing Not Allowed

Please take note that registration is per individual and is not exchangeable between colleagues.

Cancellation Policy

IAHR Congress Management must receive your cancellation request in writing or via email. A refund, minus $100US processing fee, will be issued, if the cancellation request is received by July 7, 2009. Please send cancellation request to registrations@asce.org or fax to 703-295-6144. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after July 7, 2009.

Confirmation of Registration

Confirmations are e-mailed to all who provide valid e-mail addresses. If you do not receive confirmation within three weeks, contact Customer Service at registrations@asce.org or call 800-548-2723.

On-site Registration

Registration can be processed on-site at the Congress Registration Booth. The below information indicates the dates and times that the Registration Booth will be open.

Payment Required

Registration will not be processed without the full payment or a copy of the official purchase
order (P.O.), if applicable.


To pay by credit card

Online registration is available at www.iahr2009.org for those who wish to pay by credit card. IAHR Congress Management accepts the following:

To pay by check, make check payable to

ASCE-EWRI (IAHR 2009). Checks must be issued in US dollars, drawn on a US bank. Include attendee’s name in the memo area of the check.

To pay by Wire Transfer

The completed PDF registration form should be emailed to registrations@asce.org, or faxed to 703-295-6144. Registrants should write on the form that they will pay through a wire transfer.

The bank will charge an additional $25 fee, so you must include this amount with your payment to cover the cost of bank transfer fees.

To pay by Purchase Order (P.O.), you must send in an official P.O. form with the registration form. P.O. form must accompany registration form in order to process registration.

Release

By submitting the registration form, I hereby release any photographs that may be incidentally taken of me during these events by IAHR Congress Management to be used for any purpose.

Recording of Sessions: Video or audio recording of any educational session is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from both ASCE and the session presenter(s).


Speaker/Moderator Registration

All speakers and moderators are required to register for the Congress by the Advance registration deadline and submit payment for respective registration fees.


Spouse/Guest Registration

Includes breakfasts and refreshments (Monday- Thursday), the Monday President’s Reception & Dinner, the Tuesday Networking Reception, and the Thursday Congress Banquet.


Student Registration

If you are a full-time student, you can register at a deeply discounted rate. Proof of full-time student status and valid ID are required. In addition to the Full Registration benefits, Student Registration includes the Wednesday Student Dinner. Students may opt to receive the Congress Proceedings with registration.


Substitutions

Substitutions are allowed. Re-submit the original registration form with the original registrant’s name crossed out. Write “Substitution” at the top of the form. Complete ALL the information for the new registrant. Substitutions must be made by July 7, 2009. After July 7, 2009, substitutions are to be made at the Onsite Registration Counter.


Waiver

By submitting the registration form, I agree and acknowledge that I am undertaking participation in IAHR Congress events and activities at my own free and intentional act,
and I am fully aware that possible physical injury might occur to me as a result of my
participation. I give this acknowledgement freely and knowingly that I am, as a result, able to participate in IAHR Congress events, and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being. I also agree not to allow any other individual to participate in my place.

 

International Attendees

Invitation Letter Request Instructions:

The following must apply in order for you to receive a letter of invitation:

Invitation Letters will be sent in pdf format via email. Hard copies will not be airmailed.

Letters cannot be e-mailed or sent to the Embassy or U.S. Consulate. ASCE cannot intervene on behalf of the invitees with the Embassy or U.S. Consulate via fax, phone, airmail, or e-mail.
