T&DI Green Streets & Highways Conference
November 14-17, 2010
Renaissance Denver Hotel
The 1st T&DI Green Streets and Highways Conference was directed towards transportation engineers (road and bridge designers, traffic operations, drainage, materials, and construction), environmental analysts, conservation planners, landscape architects, transportation planners, and transportation policy makers - those professionals on the frontline of improving the performance and sustainability of our streets and highways. The conference responded to the rapidly growing interest and activity in sustainable transportation by sharing information on leading-edge environmental stewardship and sustainability principles and practices. Many of the most important new concepts in the field - including context sensitive solutions, sustainability for transportation projects, and the complete street approach to development were addressed during the conference along with practical applications, and case studies. The conference was held in cooperation with the U.S. DOT Federal Highway Administration and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and in collaboration with the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
Some of the speakers at the conference contributed their presentations and are available for viewing. The available presentations and final conference program are accessible by clicking on the links shown below.
