PAPER SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Please note that the following deadlines will be strictly enforced:
Draft paper submission: July 15, 2007
Reviews and recommendation to authors: August 31, 2007
Final paper and deposit due date: November 2, 2007
Final acceptance of the papers will depend on if the authors have adequately addressed the reviewers' comments.
2. Prepare your draft and final papers according to the instructions given at: http://www.geoinstitute.org/publications.cfm under the section on
Geotechnical Special Publications Guidelines. Specifically check "Author Guide to GSP Paper Preparation" and "GSP Example Paper Format". Please note that for GeoCongress 2008, paper must not exceed 8 pages in length, including text, tables, illustrations, and appendices.

FINAL PAPER SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to upload your final paper you will need to pay the paper deposit fee of $150 at: http://www.asce.org/register/geo/2008. The paper deposit fee will be deducted from the congress registration fee. All final papers must be uploaded to the database by November 2, 2007, and will register for the conference at the appropriate fee(s), attend the conference, and make their presentation in person. You will need the registration confirmation number in order to upload your final paper.
Final Paper Submission Instructions:
- Pay paper deposit fee: http://www.asce.org/register/geo/2008 and obtain your registration confirmation number.

Go to: http://www.cconnect.org.

Login using your email address and the passcode created in the previous steps.

Select the “GeoCongress 2008” conference from the list of conferences.

Select the “Author” role from the list of roles.

Select the link to upload your final paper.
- Read and Accept the notes from Technical Chair to proceed
- Read and Accept the CTA (Copyright Transfer Agreement) to proceed
- Read and Accept the Permission (complete the table if required) section to proceed
- Provide the Title of the Final paper document you will upload and press continue
- Upload the Final paper document from your desktop by selecting browse and press continue
- The conversion status is displayed, select the links to the check the documents, if the conversion process is unsuccessful contact ssingletary@asce.org
- Review and Accept the converted document to proceed.
- Click on the submission listing link to return to the list of submissions
>> Continue to submit final paper
