Faculty-Practitioner Interactions: Educators are sometimes criticized by practitioners for the lack of practicality in their research work. This session will explore possible connections between practitioners and faculty such as the GeoCoalition.

  • Rob Schweinfurth: GeoInstitute's representative on the GeoCoalition will present

Teacher-Scholar Model:
Is there a disconnect between teaching and research? There is a spectrum of preparation for an academic career but one might argue that there is not an explicit connection between research and teaching, particularly teaching at the undergraduate level. This portion of the workshop will explore the connection between teaching and scholarship.
