Public Transit
The SFO BART Station is located in the International Terminal. From baggage claim,:
- Take the escalators upstairs and follow the signs to BART/Caltrain (AirTrain).
- Take the Red Line to Garage G/BART Station.
- At the BART Station, purchase a Clipper ticket from the machines. The machine gives change in US coins.
- Take either line - Red (bound for Richmond) or Yellow (bound for Pittsburgh) - to Embarcadero (the 12th stop).
- Use the Market & Drumm exit, which is at the farthest end of the station.
- Surface and the hotel is on the left side.
- Fares: One way - $8.10; Round trip - $16.20
The OAK AirBART Station is conveniently located between Terminal 1 and 2 at OAK's third curbside. There is a single shuttle stop for both terminals beginning at 5:00 a.m. through midnight. The AirBART takes you to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station, which then will take you to Embarcadero Center. AirBART one way: $3.00, BART one way: $3.80.
At the SJC Airport, board VTA Airport Flyer. Exit at the Metro Light Rail Station. Board the Light Rail at the Metro. Exit at the Civic Center. Take the VTA #180 Express Bus to Fremont BART Station. The Fremont BART Station will then take you to Embarcadero Center. VTA Airport Flyer one way: $2.00, BART one way: $5.60.

Taxi Services
Taxi services are available to you from each of the three airports listed above. The estimated rates are usually a minimum of $15.00, which includes the first three miles of travel and a $1.50 airport fee. Beyond three miles, the fares are charged by meter at $3.00 per mile. Usually passengers with disabilities or over the age of 65 will receive a 15% discount off the total fare.

Rental Cars
Each of the airports supplies rental car accommodations. All rental agencies are located off the airport and each provides its own courtesy shuttle. The shuttle stop is outside the baggage claim area underneath the overhead signs. Minimum car rental is normally for one day.
