The Living Desert Safari

8:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Come and enjoy a Safari Riding Tour and encounter 450 animals roaming freely through exhibits designed after their natural habitats. Visit giraffes and feed them their morning treats! View cheetah as they roam over one acre of habitat. Stroll through an African Village WaTuTu and see camels, hyenas, leopards, birds, and a petting kraal. Visit the North American section’s Eagle Canyon, home to golden eagles, mountain lions, bob cats, foxes, and awalk-in bird aviary. Shop in the Kumbu Kumba Market, filled with one-of-a-kind African art. Your tour will take you through desert gardens and give you the opportunity to learn how local Native Americanslived in the desert valley for so many generations. The tour offers a leisurely tram ride narrated by a trained guide. Included in the tour is the live animal Wildlife Wonders Show, presented in the Living Desert’s Tennity Amphitheater (weather permitting).

After the tour, you will enjoy lunch at the Meerkat Patio.

Includes bus transportation and lunch. Dress appropriately for hot sunny conditions
and bring sunscreen and adequate water. Good footwear and hats are essential.
