Technical Tours

Thursday, November 12, 2009

TOUR REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

Don’t miss this opportunity to visit area manufacturing facilities and service providers for a look at what’s new in pole and cable technology, as well as hot-dip galvanizing facilities at some sites!

Tours are FREE for Full Registrants, but advance registration is required by September 30, 2009, and space is limited.*

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY TOUR! ON-SITE REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. All  tour participants must sign an Agreement & Release Form, which will be emailed to you after you register online. You must sign the Form and email it back to the email address indicated on the Form. If you register using the standard Registration Form, there is a line for your signature approving the language of the Agreement & Release Form.

All tours are scheduled for Thursday, November 12 so as not to conflict with attendance at the technical sessions. The schedule has been designed to allow attendees to participate in a morning tour, followed by a tour of a different facility in the afternoon.

Participants must travel to the tour site on the buses provided by the tour sponsor, private transportation is not permitted. A tour may be cancelled if there is insufficient participation. Confirmation of tour selection and notification of cancellations will be emailed prior to the start of the Conference.

Companies sponsoring tours reserve the right to refuse admission to any individual for possible breach of safe practice or company policy.

*Due to the approval process required to admit tour registrants on a particular tour and to limited space, it is not possible allow switching from one tour to another. Once a registrant is approved by a certain tour sponsor and has received his or her final tour assignment, it is expected that the registrant will participate in that tour. Tour sponsors contract for bus transportation based upon the number of approved participants on their lists, and constant switching by participants makes it impossible to have an accurate number. Our tour sponsors also have been generous enough to offer food on their tours and must be afforded the courtesy of an accurate count for planning purposes
