Guidelines for Paper Submittal

Submittal Process and Deadlines

Final individual papers must be uploaded by April 7, 2010 to http://submissions.miracd.com/ASCE/EarthRetention2010/Login.asp. The names and contact information of all authors and proposers must be provided.

All papers will undergo peer review per G-I/ASCE publication policies and will be published in a Conference Proceedings. Final papers may be 8 pages in length. Key dates in the paper submission and review process are:
  • Abstracts and Proposals Due: June 30, 2009
  • Notification of Acceptance of Proposals and Abstracts: August 7, 2009
  • Draft Papers Due: October 21, 2009
  • Review Decision on Draft Papers: February 3, 2010
  • Final Papers Due: April 7, 2010
  • ASCE or Geo-Institute membership is not required for submission.

Expenses

All expenses associated with the preparation, submission and presentation of abstracts and papers are the responsibility of the authors and co-authors. This includes camera-ready manuscripts and illustrations. Scholarship and/or travel funds are not available for conference attendees. Authors must register for the conference and pay the paper deposit fee at the time they submit their final (accepted) paper for publication. All papers accepted for the conference constitute agreement that the author(s) will register for the conference at the appropriate fee(s), attend the conference and make their presentations in person.
