Be part of this rare opportunity to tour the Jet Propulsion Lab at Caltech, one of the world's leading universities noted for its state-of-the-art science and technology programs and cutting-edge research! Come see the master minds behind the construction and operation of robotic planetary spacecraft while learning about the laboratory's current projects.

The tour will last between two and two-and-one-half hours. All tours include a multimedia presentation on the Jet Propulsion Laboratory entitled "Journey to the Planets and Beyond," which provides an overview of Laboratory activities and accomplishments. Guests can also visit the von Karman Visitor Center, the Space Flight Operations Facility, and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility.


Please make note of the following special requirements:

  • All U.S. citizens 18 years of age or older must present official, government-issued photo identification (driver's license or passport) before being allowed entry.
  • All non-U.S. citizens 18 years of age or older must present a passport or resident visa (green card) before being allowed entry. Individuals without proper identification will not be allowed to participate in the tour of the laboratory.
  • Please be advised that this tour involves a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing. Wheelchair access can be accommodated with advance notice; however, wheelchairs cannot be provided.
  • Don't forget to dress for the weather as the tour will proceed rain or shine!
  • Cameras are permitted in the facility.
  • All tour participants must ride the chartered bus to the tour site.


Due to security restrictions, onsite registration at the Conference cannot be accommodated.
