W. Phillip Yen, Ph.D. P.E.

Dr. Yen is the Program Manager of Seismic Hazard Mitigation of Office of Infrastructure R&D of Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). He received his Master and Ph. D. from University ofVirginia. He is currently directing & managing three FHWA major Seismic Research Projects with the total amount more than $12.5 Millions. Dr. Yen is the Conference General-chair of the National Seismic Conference for Bridges and Highways (NSC) and the Chair of the FHWA’s National Seismic Engineering Team. Dr. Yen was named “The Engineer of the Year 2000” for the FHWA.
