Fourth Annual Community Service Event - Rebuilding Together

Let’s Make a Difference in Chicago!

The ASCE Committee on Volunteer Community Service, the Illinois Section of ASCE, and Rebuilding Together®, an organization devoted to revitalizing houses for low-income homeowners, invite you to spend a day of community service while attending the conference.

This year we will be working with the Valentine Boys and Girls Club to make a difference for youth in Chicago.  Our goal is to improve the functionality and appearance of the Club.  The work scope may include painting, repairing ceiling tiles, replacing floor tile, and removing cabinets.

The Valentine Boys and Girls Club is located at 3400 South Emerald Avenue in Chicago, Illinois and serves over 2,000 members annually.  The mission of the club is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.  Programs at the Valentine Boys and Girls Club include an after school program, homework help, computers, arts and crafts, sports, swimming, exercise, tutoring, mentoring, prevention/intervention programs, and daycare.
