Are You Prepared To Survive The Future?
Join Us In Chicago & Find Out!

On behalf of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Illinois Section and the entire conference committee we invite you to join us in beautiful downtown Chicago on October 19-21, 2006 for ASCE’s Annual Conference.  This year’s conference theme is “Surviving the Future”.

The conference will focus on protecting and strengthening our civil infrastructure as we face natural, technical and political hazards of the future. Addressing these issues in his Keynote Address in our Opening Plenary Session will be General Barry R. McCaffrey, USA (Ret.).

Our technical sessions will include owners of major infrastructure systems including the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC) and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and others.

Pre- and post-conference events include the Symposium on Sustainability, the Younger Member Leadership Forum, a re-vamped Student Member Program, short courses for additional PDH’s (Professional Development Hours) and much more.

The conference will be held at the Westin Chicago, River North Hotel located in downtown Chicago’s Loop District on the bank of the Chicago River.  You will be within walking distance of the Lakefront, the Magnificent Mile, Millenium Park and the Theater District.

Come Join Us for the Sights, Sounds and Tastes of Chicago.
