Leadership Luncheon and Society Awards Presentation *
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Join us in celebrating leaders who have made significant contributions to the profession and their communities. The keynote speaker, Frank R. Finch, P.E., M.ASCE, President and CEO of Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc, will deliver his speech, Engineer Leaders: Teddy's "Man in the Arena." Society Awards, some of which include the President's Award, Norman Medal, and Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize, will be presented. Winners of the Government Civil Engineer of the Year Award and Young Government Civil Engineer of the Year Award will also be recognized.

New to the ASCE Annual or an old friend? Either way you are at home with ASCE. Celebration of Leaders Reception and Dinner with Distinguished Member Induction
7:00 – 10:00 p.m.
In a formal ceremony, ASCE inducts the 2009 class of Distinguished Members. It promises to be a wondrous, not-to-be-missed evening of tantalizing food, good spirits, and excellent company. Join us in honoring the Society’s most illustrious members. Dress for the Reception and Dinner is black tie optional. Business attire is also appropriate. Your ticket includes both the reception and dinner.

If you fit into any of these categories then join us for this year’s Networking Luncheon. Take this opportunity to learn in a worry-free environment just how to tame that complicated monster you call a PDA/Blackberry. Be sure to indicate on your registration form what area you are most interested in. You can choose from Blackberry, iPod/iPhone, cell phone technology and we will match you up with the appropriate guru.

ASCE Theme Party - Halloween Fun
6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Get into costume and embrace Kansas City’s 1920’s jazz history by coming as your favorite mobster or dame. Be ready for a night of fun, great jazz, and Kansas City’s best barbeque at this year’s ASCE Theme Party, set in the American Jazz and Negro Leagues Baseball Museums. Come in costume but make sure you leave some room around the waist because Kansas City’s best restaurants are serving their famous barbeque for your enjoyment. Be ready to experience the rich cultural history of this great American city. The American Jazz Museum showcases some of the sights and sounds of this uniquely American art form through interactive exhibits and films. For sports fans, step into the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and view artifacts and photos dating from the late 1800s through the 1960s. Sponsored by GEICO for the third year in a row, the event is guaranteed to be one wild night! Buses will leave from the hotel lobby beginning at 6:30 p.m. and will run continuously until 9:00 p.m.
