Younger Member Leadership Symposium (YMLS)
8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The YMLS presents an opportunity for Society members 35 years of age and under to enhance their professional and interpersonal skill sets through a variety of interactive and instructive exercises. The symposium will emphasize peer networking, leadership topics, communication, management, and work-life balance through a series of ice breakers, team exercises, and presentations. The exchange of ideas and success stories from Younger Member groups across the nation will provide valuable “takeaways” that each Younger Member can bring back to his/her Section or Branch. The program also includes the Committee on Younger Members year in review, announcement of the 2008 Younger Member Awards, and presentation of the awardwinning Daniel W. Mead Paper. The theme for this year’s Mead Session is, “Is it ethical for an engineer to participate in a project they consider to be poor public policy/not in the public’s best interest.” Don’t hesitate to check off the symposium on the registration form to reserve your space now.
Presented by: Committee for Younger Members (CYM)
