Ground Transportation

The InterContinental Buckhead Hotel is 20 miles (30 minute car ride) from Atlanta International Airport.located and located at 3315 Peachtree Road, NE, approximately one blokc south of the Buckhead MARTA Station.   The Hotel does not provide shuttle service to/ from the airport or from the MARTA Station.  Following are ways to get to the hotel:

Train Map and Schedules

• Take the Red Line to Buckhead. No transfer is needed.  If you take the Gold Line, transfer to the Red Line at Lindbergh Center (same platform).  Click here to view the MARTA Rail map.

• Assistance is available at the MARTA RideStore located in the airport station (Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.; Saturday - Sunday 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.).

TAXICABS

A set fee prevails between the airport and the central business district. A special per-person rate applies for two or more passengers.

Taxicab service is located in the Yellow Bus aisle, column #14 .

RENTAL CAR

ATL SkyTrain

The ATL SkyTrain is a new, elevated train that connects the passenger terminal to the rental car center. The ATL SkyTrain takes customers on a scenic, five-minute ride to the rental car center, where they sign rental agency contracts and pick up cars.

The Airport has 12 ATL SkyTrain cars. They operate in pairs to shuttle customers from the terminal to the GICC/Gateway Center station and then to the rental car center. The wait time between trains during the day is about three minutes. During off-peak hours and overnight, the wait time should be no longer than 10 minutes.

The rental car center - a 67.5-acre site across I-85 from the Airport ─ will house all Airport rental car companies and their associated operations, including customer service, administrative offices, car pickup and return, fueling and maintenance facilities.

Driving Directions:

• Start out going SOUTH on AIRPORT BLVD toward AIRPORT CIR.
• Turn RIGHT onto RIVERDALE RD/GA-139.
• Merge onto I-85 N toward ATLANTA.
• Keep LEFT to take I-85 N/GA-403 N via EXIT 251 toward GA-400/GREENVILLE.
• Merge onto GA-13 N/BUFORD HWY via EXIT 86.
• Take the GA-237 N/PIEDMONT RD ramp.
• Turn RIGHT onto PIEDMONT RD NE.
• Turn RIGHT onto PEACHTREE RD NE/GA-141.
• 3315 PEACHTREE RD NE is on the RIGHT.
