Your name and badge is your admission to the Conference. Please wear your badge at all times while in the hotel. ASCE recommends you remove your badge when leaving the hotel. Where tickets are required, please bring them with you as you will not be admitted without one. Ribbons will be available at the Congress registration desk.
Cancellation must be received in writing at ASCE headquarters by May 25, to receive a refund of the registration fee. A $65 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds. Additional event tickets will be fully refunded if cancelled in writing by May 25. There are no refunds after May 25. Fax cancellation requests to ATTN: Customer Service at (703) 295-6144; e-mail them to registrations@asce.org; or mail to ASCE Attn:Customer Service, 1801 Alexander Bell Drive, Reston, VA 20191-4400, USA. NO REFUNDS will be granted for cancellations received after May 25.
Please do not mail registration forms through the U.S. Postal Service after June 8 to ensure your registration is processed by June 22. After this date, registrations must be secured with a credit card. If you are paying by credit card, please register online via the link on the Conference website or download the PDF registration form and submit it onsite along with your full credit card payment.
The dress code for the Conference is business casual (slacks, casual dress). Meeting room temperatures will vary, so wear layered clothing to ensure your personal comfort. We also recommend attendees wear comfortable shoes.
ASCE/Geo Institute hopes that your visit to Atlanta and the GeoRisk 2011 Conference will be free of medical incident. However, if you become ill at the InterContinental Buckhead Downtown Hotel, please contact the front desk and tell them you have a medical emergency that requires immediate attention.
ASCE supports a "No Smoking" policy. Smoking is prohibited at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel and all venues hosting ASCE events.
An electronic evaluation will be sent to all attendees immediately following the Conference.
You may earn PDHs, which are nationally recognized units of record, by attending Conference concurrent sessions and short courses. Please note there are differences from state to state in continuing education requirmeents for professional engineering licensure. ASCE follows NCEES guidelines on continuing professional competency. Since continuing education requirements for P.E. license renewal vary from state to state, ASCE strongly recommends that individuals regularly check with their state registration board(s) on their specific continuing education requirements that affect P.E. licensure and the ability to renew licensure.
